Nautical Seaside Chic

If we are friends on Facebook, you’ve probably noticed that I was at SM Seaside City Cebu everyday since it opened. Blogging duty calls and I’m not complaining. I was lucky to get an invitation to attend the blessing ceremony of SM Seaside City Cebu last November 26, on that day, I also attended a couple of store openings including SM Cinema, SM Bowling, SM Skating, SM Food Court, Penshoppe, Memo, Regatta, ForMe and Oxygen. It was indeed a busy and fun filled day, especially I was with my Cebu Fashion Bloggers loves.

Cebu, H&M is Finally Here!

I attended the H&M Special VIP Night and I had blast! Local media, bloggers and invited guests had the privilege to experience the biggest H&M store in the Philippines before its opening to the public on November 27, at Ayala Center Cebu. H&M Cebu features three floors of shopping heaven with selections for ladies, men and kids. H&M Home is also available, which offers selection of interior designs and decorations.

I love “Ber” months because it’s the time of the year when we can wear layers of clothing. Though it is not as cold as the countries in the northern hemisphere, we still benefit from the cold wind that blows from the north.

Basic Black

Black Out

My personal style is defined by colors, prints and textures. But lately, I slowly discovered easy dressing using basic pieces. I started to like wearing basic clothing after our Bank on Basic shoot 2 months ago. I realized that  not all basics are boring, it is really up to you on how you can spice up your look and make it standout.

Nautical Stripes

Nautical Stripes

Nautical style is one of my favorite looks to pull off, one reason is because it’s timeless. Since the look became a hit in the 1920’s, it has became a yearly trend specially during summer. Another reason why I love this look is because it is very easy to put together. The key to nautical style dressing is coming up with an outfit which features blue, white and stripes. Pair it with boat shoes, scarf, a captain’s hat or an anchor accessories to complete your look. You need to be careful in coming up with this look though or you might end up looking like you’re wearing a costume.

Cebu Fashion Bloggers: Bank on Basics

Last month, we did a photo shoot at the beautiful Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu with a theme Bank on Basics. This was in line with Giordano Philippines’ “Bank on Basics” campaign which aims to provide customers high quality basic clothing that will never go out of style. Giordano’s basic collection includes basic tees, colored shorts and pants, polo shirts and button downs.

How I made it on Instagram’s “Suggested Users List”

Taking pictures has always been one of my favorite things to do. I like capturing moments, beautiful scenes, or just anything that I find picture worthy. With the advancement of technology, taking photos has become a lot easier because of smartphones. Many smartphones feature a camera that can produce sharp, vivid and DSLR like quality images. Editing photos has become easier as well with the help of apps like my favorites- VSCO Cam and Instagram. With the two apps combined, I was able to produce nicer photos.

Throwback Thursday: OOTD

OOTD stands for “Outfit of the Day” which is one of the most popular hashtags on Instagram. Instagram users, specifically fashion and style bloggers started using this hashtag on their Instagram posts which showcase what they are wearing in the photo. Because I love dressing up, I also started sharing my OOTDs on Instagram, and looking back on some of them makes me cringe. Haha!

My Life Lately

I’ve been itching to revive my personal blog for months now but my schedule has been crazy busy with my other blogs and my life outside blogging. Many of you might have already known that I’m the man behind PhilippineStreetFashion.com and LamiKaayo.com. Just give you a background, I started both blogs in 2011 during Cebu Blog Camp 2. Maintaining these blogs eats most of my time allotted for blogging.
