Let me talk about the latter. We all have our dreams, some just wanted simple things, and some wanted to achieve something big.

City of Dreams

When I was still in school, I just dreamed of working in an office, have my own desk, and work on computer related stuff, and that’s where I am right now. I am the type of person who just wanted simple things in life, but as we grow old, we realized that we need to dream big for us to discover the things that we thought we cannot do. When we dream big, we tend to push ourselves to our limits and work really hard to achieve those dreams.

Today, I have a new set of goals I wanted to achieve, and I know I’m on the right track of achieving them. Let me write this quote I read in the internet, “think big, dream big, believe big, and the results will be big”.

I went to Manila last year for the Vivo V5 launch wearing this outfit. We stayed at the beautiful Nobu Hotel in City of Dreams. This place reminds me so much of Japan because of the modern zen like architectures and interior designs.

The Electro Beach Festival is one of my favorite EDM beach party series in Cebu and it happens twice a year. The first Electro Beach Festival this year was held last April. Partying with Japanese was really fun, they have this electrifying energy and they dance like nobody’s watching. And of course, there’s no other better venue for this kind of parties than Mövenpick Mactan Island Cebu’s Ibiza Beach Club.

Our day started with an afternoon chill at the Cabanas over some drinks and of course, Mövenpick Ice Cream! I was actually given a pass to enjoy the beach and pool but I arrived at Mövenpick Cebu late afternoon because of work. I just decided to relax and wait for the party.

This year’s theme for the Electro Beach Festival was White Party. I decided to wear a white polo and a light grey shorts to keep it simple, and my floral Flossy plimsolls to give the look an accent. This pair of Flossy is the perfect footwear for venues like Mövenpick Cebu.

I fell in love with Flossy Footwear the first time I wore them during a sunset cruise along Mactan Chanel. I kept wearing my first pair whenever I go out and travel because they’re easy to wear and comfortable. I was very excited when Primer Group contacted me to check out their latest collection.

The new collection features designs that suits every personality; floral for the outgoing, glittery for partyphiles, minimal prints and bold colors for those who want to keep it simple. Check out these latest designs and other collections at Flossy Footwear branch in SM City Cebu.

Going back to Electro Beach Festival, we kick-off the night with a sumptuous dinner buffet at the Sails Restaurant featuring dishes all over Asia. We then headed to Ibiza Beach Club for the party. The night was filled with beats from Japanese DJs that kept everyone dancing.

Looking forward to more Electro Beach Festival!

Nami Island, an Autumn Destination https://countocram.com/2016/10/01/nami-island-an-autumn-destination/ https://countocram.com/2016/10/01/nami-island-an-autumn-destination/#respond Sat, 01 Oct 2016 00:00:10 +0000 http://countocram.com/?p=1542 Continue reading "Nami Island, an Autumn Destination"]]> Autumn is just around the corner and leaves are probably starting to change colors in Seoul by this time. I visited Seoul last year during the peak of their autumn season and it was truly a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to see autumn foliage, and South Korea did not disappoint me. I thought of writing this post because I get a lot of inquiries on how to get to Nami Island, one of the best place to visit in South Korea during autumn season.

My friends and I visited South Korea during the end of October when the autumn foliage was at it’s best. We visited several sites around Seoul but Nami Island in Chuncheon won our hearts.

Namiseom Island or Nami Island is a small island located north-east of Seoul. It is popular because of its tree-lined road which produce a very picturesque scene specially during autumn. Nami Island has also become even more popular because of the hit Korean Drama in 2002, Winter Sonata.

The island is located 63km north-east of Seoul and can be access through various public transportation. We opted to visit Nami Island by train because we weren’t able book the shuttle bus in advanced. The train journey will require you transfer to different lines. You then need to take a bus or taxi going to the ferry terminal that will lead to Nami Island. The entrance fee to Nami Island for adults is 10,000 won, which already includes a round trip ferry ride.

While on board the ferry, you will be able to see the autumn foliage of Nami Island already. A sea of green, brown, yellow, red and orange leaves will welcome you and feels very magical. We never wasted time and took hundreds of photos.

It was my first time to dress up for autumn and I came really prepared. Temperature during autumn in South Korea has an average of 10 degrees Celsius, so wearing layers of clothing that will keep you warm is really important. I’m glad that even though we don’t have cold seasons in the Philippines, some international brands still sell outerwear.

It’s always my dream to wear a trench coat and it finally happened in South Korea. This black wool trench coat really kept me warm. I was also wearing a pullover and a polo shirt underneath, yes, that’s three-layers of clothing. This outfit really kept me warm through out the day. Nami Island also involves a lot of walking, so wearing comfortable shoes is must.

How to get to Nami Island

1. From Seoul Station, take Line 1 to Cheongnyangni Station
2. Change to Gyeongui-Jungang Line and get off at Mangu Station
3. Change to Gyeongchun Line and get off at Gapyeong Station
4. From Gapyeong Station you can either walk, ride the bus or taxi to get to Nami Island ferry terminal
5. Lastly ride the ferry to Nami Island or if you are more adventurous, you can zip your way to the island.

I also wrote about a 3 day Seoul itinerary during my visit last summer. Please do check it out.

I was not able to visit these places when I visited Seoul last year during Autumn that’s why I was really excited when I saw these listed on our itinerary.

You can read more about these destinations in Seoul on my 3 Day Seoul Itinerary post.

The outfit I wore for our 3rd day in Seoul is actually planned for Dongdaemun Design Plaza. I want an edgy outfit that will match its modern and neofuturistic architecture. It was 28 degrees during that day so wearing a jacket was a little inappropriate. I still brought it though and wore it for the shoot, ahaha. I also took a couple of OOTD photos along Cheonggyecheon Stream because the place is also has a couple of beautiful spots for photos.

I’ve been dying to buy this olive green bomber jacket from Memo but it was too expensive, good thing it went on sale and I bought it right away. I also like the nylon material it was made of because it can repel water, perfect for the rainy days, and it’s light weight too. I also wore a long line tee and a worn-out cropped pants to make the look edgy and grungy. I finished the look with a military green fedora hat, a pair of sunglasses with flash lens and a comfy white sneakers.

Seoul-Searching https://countocram.com/2016/07/26/seoul-searching/ https://countocram.com/2016/07/26/seoul-searching/#respond Tue, 26 Jul 2016 05:28:42 +0000 http://countocram.com/?p=1282 Continue reading "Seoul-Searching"]]> If you’ve been following my posts, I already completed my 3 Day Seoul, South Korea Itinerary and I really enjoyed writing that one since all the information regarding my recent trip to Seoul are still fresh. So if you are planning for a trip to Seoul, South Korea soon, do check it out.

I realized that travel blogging is quite difficult because you need to be detailed as much as possible. As an avid traveler, whenever I plan a trip, I always do a research about the places to visit, how to get there, where and what to eat, and things to experience.

As a fashion blogger, planning my outfits for a trip is very challenging because I always carefully think what to wear. It is also hard for me to travel lite because I always end up packing extra sets of clothing for “just in case” scenario. I do enjoy putting up an outfit on what to wear on day 1, day 2, day 3 or on a particular location. I always make sure that the outfit I’m wearing is weather and location appropriate, and of course comfortable.

I was invited by AirAsia Philippines to experience summer in South Korea together with Cebu’s local media and social media influencers. I carefully planned my outfits because I know how fashionable Koreans are. It’s funny because I started by sketching the looks I wanted to put up because my clothes were still in the laundry. As soon as I got my laundry, I immediately started mixing and matching and started packing.

Since it’s summer in South Korea, I didn’t really worry much because I know I can just wear the clothes that I normally wear here in the Philippines. But just to be sure that I’m bringing the right clothing, I checked the weather in Seoul from time to time before the trip. The temperature in Seoul was predicted to be at 28-30 degrees in the morning to afternoon and drops to 18-20 degrees at night to early morning.

It was already evening when we arrived in Seoul and it was 18 degrees, good thing I was wearing a cover up that kept me warm.

Seoul-Searching

I really love the color scheme of this airport outfit look that I put up. The combination of tan and olive colors are very manly and pleasing in the eyes. Since I can’t fit my straw hat in my luggage because it will get deformed, I decided to come up with a look that is suitable wearing it.

Seoul-Searching

I used my JanSport Watchtower backpack for my carry on luggage. As what I’ve mentioned on my School Boy post, this bag is perfect for traveling. The small compartments of the bag are perfect for your phone, wallet, passport and small items that needs easy access. The main compartment can also store some clothing and items that you need to access during the flight.

We were greeted by our guide as soon as we got out at the arrival hall of Incheon International Airport. She knows that we were really hungry because of flight delay so she brought us to a restaurant in the airport serving Bibimbap. I really like the interior of the restaurant because it matches my outfit, ahah! It’s also nice to finally taste the authentic Bibimbap of South Korea.

We traveled to Seoul after dinner which took about 40 minutes and we spent the rest of the night exploring Myeongdong. We then capped the night with chicken and beer.

This was in line with Giordano Philippines’ “Bank on Basics” campaign which aims to provide customers high quality basic clothing that will never go out of style. Giordano’s basic collection includes basic tees, colored shorts and pants, polo shirts and button downs.

Giordano Philippines was generous enough to provide us, the members of Cebu Fashion Bloggers, their crew neck and v-neck tees that will be used for the shoot. The challenge is for us to come up with a unique and personal look. Everyone got really excited because this is the first time that Cebu Fashion Bloggers will be doing a photo shoot with our new members.

I seldom wear basic pieces and when I do, I make sure that I wear something that will make it stand out. I picked a blue crew neck tee and layered it with a white button down, a red jersey shorts and white sneakers to match the venue. To make the look standout, I used black handkerchief as a scarf. This idea came from The Return of Superman, a Korean reality series where in one of the celebrity dad always wears it. To complete the look, I also used a small body bag which a friend gifted to me. I really like using this bag because its size is perfect to store my necessities.

I was also happy with my new haircut courtesy of Sports Barbers. I’ve always had my bangs to cover my Vitiligo, a skin condition where in a portion of the skin losses its pigment thus explain the white color. I thought that it’s nothing to be ashamed of and thank you Sports Barbers for coming up with a perfect hair style for me. Since I had this new hair style, I’ve been asked a lot about my white hair, and my answer is, it is natural. Vitiligo also affects hair and turns it into white color.
