If it’s your first time to attend Sinulog Festival, different festivities usually take place as early as December and most of the big events happen a week before the Sinulog day, which is being celebrated every 3rd Sunday of the January.

Carefully planning what to wear during Sinulog day and other festivities can really be very stressful to some. On this blog, I will be sharing some outfit ideas for different activities by mixing and matching few pieces of clothing and accessories.

The Casual Reveler

This outfit is perfect for attending religious activities such as church masses and procession. You can close the button of the shirt for a more semi-formal look.

The Party Goer

Parties are already tied with Sinulog Festival. You can transform your the first outfit into a party look by simply changing your top with a shirt with festive prints. For indoor party venues, you can also wear a bomber jacket to make the look a little sophisticated.

The Festival Ready

For the big Sinulog day, it is a must to wear something comfortable like shorts and tank tops. It is also important to protect your head from the heat of the sun by wearing a hat and sunglasses. A water repellent jacket will also protect you just in case it will rain.

Biker https://countocram.com/2015/11/25/biker/ https://countocram.com/2015/11/25/biker/#respond Wed, 25 Nov 2015 03:44:59 +0000 http://countocram.com/?p=472 Continue reading "Biker"]]> I love “Ber” months because it’s the time of the year when we can wear layers of clothing. Though it is not as cold as the countries in the northern hemisphere, we still benefit from the cold wind that blows from the north.

When I think of Memo clothing, I think of button downs, suits, blazers and formal pants. I’ve always wanted to wear a biker jacket, but not the leather ones because I find them too bulky and too hot to wear in the Philippines. I got surprised to find a biker style jacket at Memo from my recent visit to their store. I like how it’s made of material that is not too hot to wear here in our country. It’s perfect to wear over a shirt or button down to give your look an attitude. Memo’s latest collection also includes nice fitting jeans, jogger pants, pullovers and printed shirts.

I wore the biker jacket over a printed shirt and matched it with a biker style jogger jeans to have that “biker feel” to the whole look.

Another Memo Concept Store will be opening at SM Seaside City Cebu on November 27th. Stylish treats await avid shoppers. Make sure to follow Memo on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more details.

Black Out https://countocram.com/2015/11/22/black-out/ https://countocram.com/2015/11/22/black-out/#respond Sun, 22 Nov 2015 13:07:25 +0000 http://countocram.com/?p=456 Continue reading "Black Out"]]> My personal style is defined by colors, prints and textures. But lately, I slowly discovered easy dressing using basic pieces. I started to like wearing basic clothing after our Bank on Basic shoot 2 months ago. I realized that  not all basics are boring, it is really up to you on how you can spice up your look and make it standout.

Some clothing may look basic at first, but if you’ll look closer, the material is different or it has an accent detail which gives it a standout factor.

The latest look I put together, if you’ll look at it from afar, it’s just a basic black and white ensemble. But if you’ll look closer, you’ll fall in love with the details. I got this quilted oversized round-neck tee with zipper detail few days ago and it was a love at first sight when I saw this shirt. I’ve been looking for this type of shirt for while now, and the the zipper detail on the side, which is a trend right now is an added bonus. I also wore a black jogger pants with denim panel detail on the side to make the look a little sporty. I decided to go for an all black top and bottom outfit and paired with an all white sneakers which I bought from my trip in South Korea for contrast. To complete the look, I wore a black snapback with grid print.

Nautical Stripes https://countocram.com/2015/11/21/nautical-stripes/ https://countocram.com/2015/11/21/nautical-stripes/#respond Sat, 21 Nov 2015 00:55:15 +0000 http://countocram.com/?p=441 Continue reading "Nautical Stripes"]]> Nautical style is one of my favorite looks to pull off, one reason is because it’s timeless. Since the look became a hit in the 1920’s, it has became a yearly trend specially during summer. Another reason why I love this look is because it is very easy to put together. The key to nautical style dressing is coming up with an outfit which features blue, white and stripes. Pair it with boat shoes, scarf, a captain’s hat or an anchor accessories to complete your look. You need to be careful in coming up with this look though or you might end up looking like you’re wearing a costume.

You don’t really need a sailboat or go boating to wear a nautical look. It was one hot afternoon when my friend Doyzkie and I decided to visit Kristine. We were supposed to lounge by the pool but sadly it was closed, good thing we were allowed to snap some photos.

When it comes to nautical style, Regatta is always the first brand that comes to mind. I fell in love with their rain jacket as soon as saw it in the store. It’s functional, light weight, waterproof and comes in electric blue color which I really like. I paired it with a red and white stripped crew-neck shirt to make it look nautical. Then I matched it with a white pants and mandals to tone down the look a little.
